Amb. Muthoni Gichohi is a seasoned lawyer with over 34 years experience as a legal professional and leader with diverse stakeholders in Public and Private Corporations, Government and Social Enterprises where she has developed robust and strategic networks.

Amb. Gichohi is a resourceful and strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and with a natural affinity for cultivating relationships, persuading, convening, facilitating and building consensus in diverse multi-cultural and multi – disciplinary environments.

She is the Founding Partner of MGA Law Advocates, LLP where she has had remarkable success in large commercial and mortgage transactions, conveyancing and property development advisory. During her career, Ms Gichohi has worked as a State Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General of Kenya and also held Legal and Company Secretarial Positions at Industrial Promotion Building Limited (now PDM) which is part of the Aga Khan Development Network

Amb. Gichohi has just completed her term as the Chairperson of The Retirements Benefits Appeals Tribunal where she has used her skills as an integrative negotiator to make an impactful contribution in the expeditious adjudication of disputes in the Pension Industry in Kenya. She is also Chair of the Thika Greens Group of Companies where her visionary leadership and executive oversight has seen the venture transcend to remarkable commercial success with substantial interests in real estate, a golf resort and conferencing facilities. Ms. Gichohi is also a Director of the Ecobank Foundation which is part of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and a long serving and active member of  FIDA Kenya where she has made significant contributions to the promotion of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Amb. Gichohi also served as a Board member, Trustee and Patron in various government educational institutions and charitable foundations in Kenya. Her service record is marked with transformation in literacy and empowerment of marginalized communities to solve complex social challenges.
